In the IP world, SIP will receive in future the status which SS7-signaling has today within line placement managing networks.
In the future, within multi-service-networks, IP basic knowledge will not be sufficient anymore. Signalising messages will gain more and more importance.
The course informs about the basics of signalising within IP networks using SIP and provides an overview of the current and future applications in fixed-line networks and mobile networks.
